The Citroën 2CV Sahara 4×4 is one of those cars that feels more mythical than mechanical. Photographing it means stepping into a world shaped by unconventional engineering: two independent engines — one at the front and one at the rear — true all-wheel drive, and an unshakeable reliability designed for deserts, rough trails, and the most unforgiving terrains.
In these images, the Sahara reveals its purest identity: a body that is simple yet robust, a raised stance, wide wheels meant for sand, and mechanical details that still astonish for their ingenuity. Every frame captures its pioneering spirit — a vehicle built not to impress, but to endure, adapt, and reach places where others simply cannot.
Fun fact: starting the Sahara required two separate ignitions — one for each engine. Drivers could run a single engine or both, depending on terrain and needs. A rare and brilliant engineering solution unmatched at the time.
This photoshoot is a tribute to one of the most original and revolutionary cars ever made: a 4×4 capable of turning any landscape, even the most ordinary, into a scene of pure adventure.
